19-yr-old Maid 'Raped, Killed' by Liquor Firm Executive

GURGAON: The police have registered a case of murder and rape against a senior executive of a popular Indian liquor company for allegedly murdering his 19-year-old maid after raping her. The police said Thursday's post-mortem, however, does not confirm rape or murder. The accused had hired the victim, a resident of Jharkhand, through a placement agency last June.



The employer, a resident of Unitech Nirvana Country in Sector-50, told the police on May 3 that his maid Prashanti Devi had died on the spot after falling from his multi-storeyed house. The police registered a case against the executive, based on a complaint lodged by the owner of the placement agency, Bhanu Pratap.
