'HuJI trains children in schools, madrassas for jehad'

The following is the transcript of the narco-analysis test of Muhaddil Muthakhil, HuJI member, arrested for attack on STF camp in Hyderabad in 2005, after the Jaipur serial blasts. In this, Muthakhil tells interrogators about how he was trained in Bangladesh in the use of explosives, some of the others who received the training, and how they were indoctrinated to carry out attacks against India.



How did you get drawn into terrorism?



"We got Yahya from Bangladesh. Our job was to get him. We were not working against India then. But Yahya was, so he was killed."



What about Shaheed?



"I don't know. But Shaheed was against Yahya and wanted to kill him. My brother helped Yahya and that's why the LeT people in Bangladesh were against my brother and wanted to kill him."



You learned about making explosives in Bangladesh?



"In Bangladesh I once went with them to a restaurant. There was a conversation there about buying chemicals for explosives. The target was India."



Was Shaheed also behind the Jaipur attack?



"Before my arrest I didn't know about him. Delhi Police told me that he was behind blasts in Bihar, Hyderabad and Bangalore."



Who is Naved?



"He is from Hyderabad. When he was in Bangladesh, and was wanted for the killing of Gujarat minister Haren Pandya. Later, I got to know that he would send people to Pakistan for training and also plan blasts in India."



Did you get training in Pakistan?



"Shaheed was trained in Pakistan. My brother was told that Shaheed went through special training for six months."



What is special training?



"In Pakistan there is training in shooting, commando training, mortar training, rocket launchers and other items used in war."



Did you send explosives into India from Bangladesh?



"There is a man called Tajauddin in Bangladesh. He sends all Pakistani explosives and ammunition to India."



Which route does it go through?



"Through Mutalib, in the Rajshahi district on India-Bangladesh border. For all the work in explosives, any arms etc, I would not talk to Naved I would talk only to Kajal."
