Man Kills Daughter for Marrying Against His Wishes
VADODARA: In yet another case of honour killing, a retired army jawan has allegedly hacked his 20-year-old daughter to death for marrying against his wishes.
Dhairvirsinh Bhedoriya was unhappy over the marriage of his daughter Vandana six months ago to a man of her choice. He had fixed her marriage with some body else.
The incident occurred in the jawan's house in GIDC area of Makarpura in the outskirt of the city on Monday, police said.
Bhadoriya telephoned Vandana to come to his house in GIDC area for the collection of a cheque. When Vandana reached her father's house, Bhadoriya tried to kill her by firing three rounds from a revolver.
