Modi to reach out to US via satellite
CHICAGO(Illinois): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will address thousands of Gujaratis across US and Canada in a live telecast from Gandhinagar via satellite to kick off the Gujarati Day celebrations on Saturday.
Modi was denied a visa by the US state department in March 2005 over the anti-Muslim riots in 2002. He has overcome this handicap by cleverly using satellites to reach out to non-resident Gujaratis in the past.
