Court notice to IHF after Gill's plea
New Delhi, May 14 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Wednesday issued notices to the central government, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the ad-hoc committee of the Indian Hockey Federation after K.P.S. Gill approached the court challenging the decision to sack him as IHF president.
Justice Rekha Sharma asked the three parties to file reply by July 9.
IOA on April 28 dissolved the IHF, sacked Gill as its president and took over the reins of the game.
IOA, at its emergency Executive Committee meeting in which Gill was also present, decided to form a five-member ad-hoc committee to run the sport and named a five-member selection committee of Olympians.
