Beijing Olympics
The 2008 Beijing Olympics flame was ignited on March 24 in the Ancient Olympia of Greece. The event, however, was dotted with series of protests by Tibetans all over the world as they were against the Communist regime for its alleged Human rights violations in Tibet. Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia, to support Tibetan cause, refused to run with the flame in India. While Tendulkar agreed to carry the torch, he later backtracked. With all hullabaloos, the preparedness of Indian players for the Olympic events has gone unnoticed. Will India put up a decent show in Olympics, or, will it be a disappointing Olympics for India again?
