Where is the torch?

 Whose torch is it any way? The media hyped debate on this torch run is becoming murkier day by day and finally the D day has come. The day will pass off also without much incidence of worth excepting may be a handful of slogan shouting Tibetans courting arrest here and there but media got its TRPs in place over Sas Bahu things.

Medha Patekar has already shown us this type of protests, the protesters gathering near Janter Manter is not new for Delhiites.

Medha could gain by getting the dam height reduced or is it increased…I am some what foggy on that count but what will be the gain of this protest or the run by those who perceive the protest in different light. The protest in Western world has given it more zing but in India the protest has generated some debates without addressing the issue. The debate has been tactfully diverted to a non issue like whether to run or not with the torch. The real issue of Balkanization of Tibet remained there in the lurch.

Sometimes I get the impression that the torch which has arrived and is on the run may not be the real one, may be the Tibetan refugees are running with the real one as that has heart and soul behind it.
