I traveled with my family on 15-04-2008 from Nasik Road to Mumbai CST by Train No. 1058. I had booked the tickets in advance (Tickets No. 25316875, 25316874 & 25316873) and all our tickets were booked in S5 coach. To our shock when we boarded the train, all our seats (berth) had been sold by a corrupt TC to unreserved passengers at Rs.200/- per ticket. The TC had long disappeared and even in Dadar Junction we could not get his name thanks to the network of corruption such officials seem to have. We had to fight a lot to get our seats.
2. This incident has left a bad taste in all our mouths about Railways. It seems the Railways can never get out of its quagmire of corruption. Please note I have the original ticket without the customary TC markings. I intend to follow this case to the end of this world until this corrupt TC is punished. I will use all Constitutional means at my disposal to ensure the same. Such people have to be put to their place and right now I am waiting for the response from Railway Authorities/ CVC for response to my complaint. The Railways have to change their attitude. It is sad such people will be getting a pay commission?
