Bangalore, May 6(ANI): Janata Dal (Secular), a regional outfit in India's poll bound southern Karnataka has ruled out a post poll alliance with the country's main political parties, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata party. The JD-S has earlier shared power with the Congress and the BJP under coalition arrangement in Karnataka. JD-S supremo, Dev Gowda, while releasing the party manifesto said that power sharing with both parties had proved disastrous for his party.
Bangalore Ruling out post-poll alliance with Congress and BJP, the Janata Dal (Secular) vied with the two parties in promising freebies, including farm-loan waiver, and said it would press for reservation for Kannadigas in booming IT companies if elected in this month's assembly polls.
Releasing the manifesto, party leader and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda on Monday ruled out post-poll alliance with Congress and BJP with whom his party had formed short-lived coalition governments.
"We have already suffered enough by supporting the Congress government led by N Dharam Singh and also sharing power with BJP. We will not repeat it,” he said.
